The SGS8 is a new high quality sea fishing reel from Savage Gear. The SGS8 has been designed to cope with the harshest conditions at sea. This reel features a unique SW-500 saltwater resistant coating, this coating has easily withstood 500 hours of saltwater testing. In addition, the 8+1 steel ball bearings and the drag system are extra tightly sealed to ensure that the entire reel is highly resistant to saltwater. The housing of the reel is made of lightweight, strong aluminium and in some places it is reinforced with carbon. The reel also features the latest technological developments, including Savage Gear’s patented Dura Grease, which protects against corrosion and wear.
